Independent publication

Catholic Practitioner is an independent website created by Derek Boylen. It is not an official publication of, and does not speak on behalf of, the Catholic Church, the Holy See, any diocese, parish, religious institute or other Catholic body.

The word “Catholic” describes the author’s faith and the perspective from which these reflections are offered. The reflections aim to be consistent with Catholic belief and teaching, but responsibility for the content rests with the author.

Educational reflection

The material on this website is general educational information and personal professional reflection. It is not medical, psychological, legal, pastoral or spiritual advice for any particular person.

No therapeutic relationship

Reading this site, joining its mailing list or contacting its author does not create a counsellor–client relationship. Counselling services are provided separately through derekboylen.com and are subject to their own intake, consent and professional arrangements.
