Who is responsible

Catholic Practitioner is an independent publication created by Derek Boylen. Privacy questions can be sent to derek@derekboylen.com.

Email subscriptions

When you join the reading list, Catholic Practitioner collects the email address you provide. It is used to send new reflections and occasional related updates. It is not used to establish a counselling relationship and is not intended for confidential clinical information.

Email subscriptions are managed through MailerLite, which processes subscriber information on Derek’s behalf. MailerLite may also process technical information connected with email delivery and engagement, such as whether an email was opened or a link was selected.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. You may also ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your subscriber information by contacting Derek.

Website information

The website’s hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, dates and times, and security logs. Catholic Practitioner does not currently use advertising cookies or sell personal information.

Links to other services

This website links to external services including Derek’s counselling website, MailerLite, social networks, the Vatican and mental-health support organisations. Those services have their own privacy practices and policies.

Changes and concerns

This notice will be updated if the website begins collecting information in new ways, such as through analytics, contact forms or additional services. If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, contact Derek first so it can be considered and addressed.
